The V Festival which is also known as the Virgin Mobile festival from 2008 is organized in USA and Canada. It is a rock festival. In UK and Australia the festival is still associated and the brand is marketed with the name V but in North America the name Virgin and now the brand Virgin Mobile name is used to market the brand association. The sponsorship for the events is mainly provided by Virgin Mobile. Richard Branson, the chief of Virgin group inaugurated the events on June 30, 2006.

The first ever events of the festival took place in Toronto on September 9 and 10. The show achieved a huge success featuring 40 plus artists. The V festival 2007 was organized on May 20 and 21 in Vancouver. The success of the festival made the organizers extend it to two more days in Baltimore where the show took place on August 4 and 5 and then in Toronto in the month of September.

Various single days show of the festival has also been organized in Baltimore, Calgary, Maryland and Alberta. Like any other festival the V Festival has also faced its part of criticism.
