The body mass index ratio is among the quickest ways used to find out whether your body weight appropriate for your height or not and helps to lose weight. It can be found using a BMI calculator.

The BMI is very much simple to calculate. As muscles weigh much more than the fat, so the BMI and your weight are not the only option for determining of the health level. For calculating the BMI, some steps are followed serially. The basic requirements are your height, a calculator and a scale.
Firstly, you should check your weight. A person must check his weight in the morning before eating or drinking anything because the food items generally affect the body weight. You should weigh 3 times and take the arithmetic average of the weights so as to have the correct value.
Then you must convert the height into inches before squaring the value. Then square the value, and after that divide your weight by that value. Your weight must be in pounds.
The next step is to multiply that number by 703. This will convert values in the metric system. So, this will give you the BMI and it has four categories, which are underweight, normal, overweight and obese.
